An African Diaspora Scholarship Fund is created for students from the African Diaspora applying to any program at the University of Windsor. The scholarship will provide encouragement to students on the basis of need. Scholarship recipients will then be required to go back to their communities to share their University of Windsor experience with others.
An investment in this young population is an investment in the future of Canada. Your support can make a university education an exciting and accessible option. Our goal is to establish a $2-million endowment annually toward scholarships at the University of Windsor.
How you can help:
Gifts of cash, stocks, life insurance, and bequests can be made and pledged over a five-year period.
Your investment will be matched dollar for dollar through the Ontario Trust for Student Support (OTSS) program.
Depending on your circumstances, the tax savings of your gift could be up to 48 percent of your donation. Corporate donations are typically eligible for a tax deduction of 50 percent. Combining tax savings and the OTSS matching funds effectively quadruples the value of
your contribution.
